The Tang Chang Private Museum is pleased to make available the video recordings of the symposium “Tang Chang Reading: Reading Tang Chang” (2 May 2026). Presented as part of the museum’s opening program, the recordings document the day’s discussions and are now accessible online for public viewing.
Solo Exhibition in Hong Kong: “Into the Heart-Mind 心鏡之景” | 4 June - 29 August 2026
Presented by gdm and the Tang Chang Estate, “Into the Heart-Mind 心鏡之景” (4 June – 29 August 2026), curated by art historian Sheryl Gwee, is the first solo exhibition in Hong Kong dedicated to the landscape works of Tang Chang, featuring works on paper from the 1960s to the 1980s.

Visits to The Tang Chang Private Museum are available by appointment on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month, with two visiting sessions per day.
About the Museum
Following the passing of Tang Chang in 1990, the Tang Chang Private Museum emerged in the early 1990s from an effort to organize, archive, and preserve materials related to Tang Chang’s artistic legacy. From the outset, the museum was conceived not only as an exhibition space, but as a long-term archival and research endeavor. Its holdings extend beyond artworks to include writings, publications, correspondence, and other contextual records considered essential to future research.
The Tang Chang Private Museum officially opened to the public on May 1, 2026. The museum's inaugural exhibition, Poet Tang Chang's Institute of Modern Art, curated by Nawapooh Sae-tang, is on view from May 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027.
This website, launched in January 2026, serves as the museum’s official digital platform. It reflects the museum’s archive- and research-oriented approach by providing access to information on exhibitions, research activities, archival materials, publications, and ongoing projects, while also functioning as a digital record of the museum’s activities and a channel for public engagement.
Subscribers receive access to published content and institutional updates. Subscriptions support the museum’s work in research, preservation, and knowledge dissemination.
